Our Story

Hi, I'm Miranda Bragan and I am the owner of Legacy Ranch & Event Center. The Legacy family includes  my parents Tricia & Spencer, my brother Chance, my boyfriend Drew, our dogs Koda, Dublin, Sophie & Rex, and my adopted mustangs Pi, Thunder, & Sterling. Here is a little background on how Legacy Ranch got started.

It has always been my dream for as long as a I can remember to have a place called Legacy Ranch. I spent the entire summer before my senior year of college looking for the perfect piece of land that I could call my own. A place to begin my own story  after graduation. Once I came across this beautiful piece of property close to home I knew I could not pass it up. As soon as the papers were signed my parents gave me my first sign for Legacy Ranch. Within a days of my closing we started clearing trees and designing the layout for the property.

For the longest time I had no idea what I wanted to do after I graduated until my mom came up with the idea of the event center.  She figured it was something that was missing in our community. So many couples search for that special barn look for their wedding. We decided we wanted to be able to offer couples in Aroostook County that country dream wedding experience as well as to attract couples from all over to become a destination wedding. With this barn we also wanted the chance to give back to the community and host different events and functions throughout the year for everyone.

At the start of this process we met with our architect who was absolutely wonderful in helping design the look and build we wanted for our barn. Then it came time to finding our long list of helpful and hard working contractors knowing that we had a deadline to meet for finishing and licensing the venue.   Our contractors were able to commit to our project as being the first one in the spring of 2021. We cannot thank these hard working folks enough for everything. In less than 5 months we went from an empty gravel parking lot to a fully licensed and inspected wedding venue. Continue to like and follow us on Facebook and watch our journey in pictures.

This truly has become a family business and we cannot wait to see where it takes us in the future. We have worked so hard to makes this vision a reality. None of this would have be possible without the help and support of my friends and family and to all the wonderful couples that have already booked on faith and the vision we had shared with them to make their special day perfect!

Meet The Legacy Family

Operations Manager

This is my mom Tricia, the one who came up with the wonderful idea for the wedding venue and put a lot into the design of the ranch. Not only does she help me with the ranch but she also runs her own business, a mental health agency called A New Start, where she is a full time children's case manger.

Superintendent of Building & Grounds

This is my dad Spencer, he is the carpenter who made the ranch happen by putting in countless hours into building it. Without his knowledge of construction there is absolutely no way this all would have been possible. Along with working at the ranch he is also a building trades teacher at the Presque Isle Technical Center.

Owner

As you read earlier I'm Miranda and I wanted you to meet my wonderful family that made this all happen. We have all worked extremely hard and hard work is something we know very well and are not afraid of. I cannot begin to say it enough or express how grateful I am for my family that have helped me through the process of opening Legacy Ranch.

We hope to see you at the

ranch soon!
